this hit me hard babe. i think we'r all taught to chase some finish line where happiness just switches on & no one tells us it doesn't work that way!! sweetie gratitude & unhappiness coexisting is such an important thing to say out loud because it really does feel selfish to admit otherwise. thanks for putting this into words. love it💚

I think we're taught to treat happiness like a reward at the end of a long journey, but when in reality it's something we have to keep choosing, even while carrying uncertainty.

Beautifully written… thank you for writing!! 🫶🏻

this was an excellent read. i feel like true pleasure and happiness comes during the process of getting something you want so badly. of course there are exceptions, but once you truly achieve that thing, the gift of experiencing the highs and lows which give your journey meaning cease to exist. you ask yourself, "what now?" after achieving what you want. will you climb the next mountain? will you stop climbing at all?

food for thought, this piece of yours sparked some thought for me, but I enjoyed this!

That "what now?" question is exactly what i was trying to explore
